About Lance Truck Campers

Started in 1965 as M&M Trailer Supply in North Hollywood, California, Lance has been THE name in truck campers for more than 45 years. Beginning with its domination of the southern California market, Lance has become the country’s #1 truck camper manufacturer – nearly four out of every ten truck campers sold in America is a Lance!

Richard Murray began the company and was later joined by Ron Mertes – Ron took over sales operations while Richard was responsible for manufacturing. Then and now, other truck camper manufacturers exist, but none could rival Lance in any aspect of RV manufacturing or sales.

Jack Cole, now President of Lance Camper Manufacturing Corporation, purchased the company from the founders in the 1970’s after starting with Lance as a part-time employee. It has grown ever since and nearly every innovation in modern truck campers has begun with Lance campers. A reputation for high quality, unmatched style and comfort and a desire to exceed customers’ expectations has allowed them to outgrow their humble roots and dominate North America with several lines of truck campers that continue to set new standards and win awards, year after year.

Lance is proud to accept the highly coveted DSI (Dealer Satisfaction Index) Quality Circle Award as voted on by RV dealers across the country. This award is granted for not only quality products, but above-average service to customers! Lance is among a very small group of manufacturers that wins this award year after year. 2011 marks the 10th year IN A ROW that Lance has claimed this honor.

Consumer Digest has also rated Lance truck campers as a “Best Buy”. The magazine chooses its award recipients based on product reliability information, vigorous research and performance tests completed in a laboratory setting.
